The working principle of the dump pumps is the same as that of the external mixing self-suction pump. The difference is that the backwater does not flow to the outer edge of the impeller, but to the inlet of the impeller. When starting an internal mixing self-priming pump, the back-flow valve at the front and bottom of the impeller must be opened so that the liquid in the pump can flow back to the inlet of the impeller. Water is mixed with the air coming from the suction pipe under the action of high-speed rotating impeller to form air-water mixture and discharged into the separation chamber. Here the air is discharged and the water returns from the return valve to the impeller inlet. This is repeated until the air is exhausted and the water is sucked in.
