Pouring process for stainless steel castings is a key point in the production and manufacturing. If the key point is not handled properly, it is difficult to cast stainless steel castings up to the standard. Therefore, in the processing of stainless steel castings, it is necessary to strictly implement the standards to carry out all kinds of operation procedures for casting key points.
In the first step, the manufacturer needs to do enough preparatory work before casting to ensure that the subsequent casting operation process can be carried out smoothly. The preparatory work before casting includes: 1. Clean the casting place to ensure the safe and successful completion of the specific steps of casting. 2. Check the maintenance effect of ladle, drying and heating conditions, coordination and stability of conveying and tilting mechanism; 3. Master the classification of casting alloy, calculate the total number of mold to be cast and the net weight of metal liquid required, so as to prevent the shortage of metal liquid and the total number of mold during casting.
In order to get the standard stainless steel castings, it is very important to strictly regulate the casting temperature, casting speed and carefully implement the pouring process for stainless steel castings.
(1) As far as casting temperature is concerned, casting temperature has a great influence on the effect of stainless steel casting. It is necessary to determine the appropriate casting temperature range according to alloy classification, stainless steel casting structure and mold characteristics. The proper casting temperature shall be determined according to the model and specification of carbon steel. Generally, the casting temperature is between 154-1580 ℃ (molten steel temperature in ladle).
(2) In terms of casting speed, on the premise of ensuring that the exhaust gas in the cavity is discharged smoothly, a higher casting speed can be used for the stainless steel castings solidified at the same time, and a lower casting speed can be used as far as possible for the stainless steel castings that need to realize sequential solidification.
(3) As for the standard of casting operation flow, the following aspects should be followed: A. large, medium and small stainless steel castings should be cast, and the molten steel should be placed in the ladle for 1-2min for sedation before casting. b. After casting, when the solidification of stainless steel casting is finished, the die and box clamp shall be removed on time to reduce the shrinkage resistance of stainless steel casting and prevent the stainless steel casting from causing cracks and defects.
