Six Steps Of Sand Casting

space that will later be filled with molten metal.

Molten Metal Pouring: The next step involves pouring molten metal into the mold cavity. The metal is chosen based on the desired characteristics of the final 

casting. This process demands precision to achieve accurate results.

Cooling Period: After the mold cavity is filled, the molten metal is allowed to cool and solidify. This cooling period is critical as it determines the final structure 

and properties of the casting, ensuring it meets the required specifications.

Sand Mold Breakaway and Casting Removal: Once the metal has solidified, the sand mold is broken away, revealing the newly formed casting. Careful removal is essential to preserve the integrity of the casting and complete the process.
